“Bold, modern, and memorable.”

I am always searching for new ways to bring “bold, modern, and memorable” to life — whether in a logo, print promotion, or digital campaign. My highly collaborative approach draws from research and strategy. Twenty-five years of working alongside great talent helps, too.

As a third-generation designer, I am steeped in design references, old and new. My career began at the legendary firm Chermayeff & Geismar, where I designed the Showtime logo. I then became a founding partner and Creative Director of MSLK. There, I led my team towards countless award-winning designs, and helped launch dozens of brands. As Creative Director at Anecdote, I manage and led a creative team of five for various clientele. These days I am enjoying the freedom that freelancing offers me, taking on a variety of projects large and small, in a variety of sectors.

The word on the street is that I am easy to work with, dependable, and a team player. Not limited to only visual ideas, I am known for my witty approach to concepts and campaigns — especially headline copy. Any way to humanize a brand is always a winning strategy.

My work has been recognized by the AIGA, Communication Arts, Print Magazine, The Type Directors Club, and the Webbies. I have had work published internationally in books and magazines. Graphic Design USA featured me as one of their “People to Watch in 2006.” I am Board Member Emeritus of Spark Design Professionals, a non-profit organization founded in 2000 to support design business owners.

I live in NYC with my wife and our two young boys. With scant spare time, I can be found playing lead guitar in several of NYC’s rock bands, or sailing around the Long Island Sound.

"Working with Marc and his team on over 40 issues of our monthly sales publication was truly an effective creative collaboration. The redesign led to a 13% increase in sales after the first year alone. They helped streamline the process to consistently deliver a great end product on time."
