I am always searching for new ways to bring “bold, modern, and memorable” to life — whether in a logo, print promotion, or digital campaign.

As a third-generation designer (on both sides), I'm steeped in design references, old and new. It's a good thing. 

I started out at the legendary firm Chermayeff & Geismar, where I was given the amazing opportunity to design the Showtime logo. Later I became a founding partner and Creative Director of MSLK brands.

Now I work with private clients and agencies. While I am very hands-on, I often bring in my agile, scalable team of experts to meet specific challenges.

My work has been recognized by the AIGA, Communication Arts, Print Magazine, The Type Directors Club, and the Webbies. I've had work published internationally in books and magazines. Graphic Design USA once featured me as one of their “People to Watch.” I am a Board Member Emeritus of Spark Design Professionals, a non-profit organization founded in 2000 to support issues concerning design business owners.

I recently moved to the greater St. Louis area from NYC, where I'd lived most of my life. I love the Midwest's wide open spaces, fresh air, and overall laid-back vibe. When I'm not designing, I'm thinking about design. And identifying fonts. Or wondering, ”why would someone design something that?“ It never gets old.

I'm an avid guitar player, sailor, snowboarder, onewheel rider, and parent of two middle school boys. And, wow, do I have stories for you.
